Micro Reflections

The Other Education

To breathe with my body.
To feel rejection, and not collapse.
To say no without guilt.
To hear no without shrinking.
To take feedback without letting it pierce my identity.
To separate the person from the action.
To say what I need.
To ask what you need.
To fail and stay standing.
To praise the trying, not the win.
To stop measuring sideways.
To start noticing my own arc.

Compound interest.
Diminishing returns.
Pareto’s law.
Overcompensation.
Adaptability.
Availability bias.
Inertia.
Status games vs infinite games.
Barbell strategy.
Black swans.
Negative visualization.
Antifragility.
Fractals.
Randomness.
The many flavors of lack.
The idea of algorithms, not just the code.

Deliberate practice.
When to plan, and when to throw the plan away.
That dopamine follows pain, not the other way around.
That being wrong is worth celebrating.
That mastery lives in the boring parts.
That talk is cheap.
That responsibility isn’t blame, it’s power.

To name my feelings.
To go first.
To apologize well.
To laugh at myself.
To tell the story.
To write it down.

Health, not as a moral goal, but as a rhythm.
The Sun. The dirt. The greens. The walk.
The weight I choose to lift.
The choices that shape me.

Microeconomics.
Persuasion.
Psychology.
Ethics.
Math.
Computers.
Game theory.

Not all at once. But early.
In drops.
In story.
In love.
